Well, we had a birthday at our house. It was Kaitlyn's 9th b-day on March 17. Unfortunately for her I was very very sick. So on her birthday she only got a happy birthday and nothing else. But the Friday before she had a sleepover with two friends. The older they get the less friends I can handle at one time. I think they had a good time. We got pizza and movies. They painted toe nails and I made carmel popcorn for the movie time. I think they stayed up well past their normal bedtime but since out basement is finished I can't hear them all that well so I don't care. But on her b-day they had dance so I took them down and made John bring them home because I could barely sit in the car long enough to get them there but she was a trooper and told me that it was ok that she would take a cake whenever I felt better. What a nice child she is. Well apparently John felt bad about the cake situation and took her to Broulim's after dance and told her she could pick out any cake she wanted but she just cried and cried. When they got home we finally understood that she wanted to wait for me to make her cake because she hates frosting so I always make her coffee cake which doesn't have any frosting and she thought that if she had a cake from Broulims then she wouldn't get one made. Oh well. We ended up making her a cake on Thursday and my mom and dad ate with us and she got her presents from them and then on Saturday her Grandma and Grandpa Fullmer came over and she had a nice time with them as well. I was just proud of her when I didn't feel well that she just kept saying it was fine and that she loved me and wanted me to get better what a great child.

I have a funny story! Austin and Caleb were going down the stairs yesterday and Caleb fell. Apparently he hit his bum and pretty hard if his screaming was any indication. Austin says to him, I sure hope you don't have to have bum surgery. Caleb was all serious for a minute and told Austin that there isn't a surgery for bums. So Austin in reply says "tell me this then if it isn't bum surgery than why do they call it bum surgery?" I don't think anyone had a reply.

I haven't posted anything in forever! We haven't really had anything going on except that we are all sick of winter. We have been completing rooms in our house. The project that never seems to end. For those of you who don't know, we bought an old farm house and have spent the last year and half gutting most of it and redoing it. The upstairs has been finished for awhile but we had to move everyone upstairs and make part of the living room into a kids room for the girls. We have moved them all downstairs can I just say Hallelujah!!!!!! It is nice to actually have too to breathe and watch a movie not all camped out on my bed! We have some space although at times this renovation was painful. I will post pictures soon and I'm so grateful that I have a do it all husband. I think he has learned everything from plumbing to trim work and a refresher on electrical but we did everything but installing windows and carpet ourselves. I think we are crazy and I'm sure that those of you who saw where we started will total agree. Having some land made it all worth it. (I think but don't ask John)

We had a great time at Grandpa and Grandma Austin's. We all opened presents and had dinner together. For some reason I didn't have any pictures from Grandpa and Grandma Fullmer's on my camera but we had fun with them on Christmas Eve and all the cousins. We also attended a Christmas Eve service at church and were thankful that we could all have a reminder of why we really celebrate Christmas.
We decided that we were going to have a family trip. So with that in mind we made reservations at the Shilo in Idaho Falls and loaded up for a family trip. We went with my mom and dad, Jeff, Tausha, John and the kids. What a great time we had. The best part is we only had to drive 20 minutes to get there and 20 minutes to get back and everyone had a super great time.
Megan is under water is this picture, she thought she was so funny!

They can actually work!
Our kids do know how to work. We are still working on the remodeling project in our house and we had the kids dig the old vinyl tile off the floor. They did such a good job and they all stayed there until it was completely gone. I laughed because John just stood there with a broom in his hand and supervised. They were fighting on who got the tools so John just gave them each something to use.
